The Faculty of Engineering is looking to appoint a number of world-leading individuals to support our strategic growth in Energy. In this influential role you will have the opportunity to work with the expanding Leeds energy research and educational programmes in energy efficient building technology applied to the Built Environment.

You will take a lead role in the review of modules and programmes and in quality assurance. As you conduct world-leading research, your focus will be on the strategic development and implementation of research, innovation and impact Of course this research could address one or more of a number of areas and will enable you to deliver research-led education that contributes to an exceptional student experience. Your work and influence should empower us to attract high quality postgraduate research students. You will provide academic leadership, stimulation and guidance to colleagues, building research teams and promoting the development of a vibrant culture and environment.

Throughout your work you will build and sustain relationships with external bodies and profess and promote the discipline of Energy in Built Environment nationally and internationally, winning prestige for both the discipline and the University.

To do all of this successfully, you will be an engineer/physical scientist with an ability to provide academic leadership. You will have a PhD (or other doctorate) in a relevant discipline or equivalent research, or an expert from industry with in-depth knowledge in energy in built environment technology and engineering. With an excellent track record of research and publication that meets international standards of academic excellence, you should also be able to demonstrate how you have successfully developed academic teams and be able to demonstrate an ability to deliver world class student education and an exceptional student experience.

Salary

The salary, which is negotiable, will be within the Professorial range - minimum £59,302 p.a.
